Background

Julia Grace joins 16th Street Actors Studio from one of the world’s most exciting theatre stomping-grounds, Chicago U.S.A.

In 2011, she was selected to study at The Steppenwolf Theatre Company School in Chicago where she made an incredible impression on her teachers who encouraged her to stay on with the company. She was mentored by Steppenwolf ensemble members in the techniques that underpin the training and ethos of the company and followed on to teach at The Steppenwolf Theatre Company School. She has also trained at Black Box Acting Chicago and iO Chicago and has been fortunate enough to be taught and mentored by some of Chicago’s premier theatre artists.

Julia has a Bachelor of Art, Performance Studies major, from The University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Dramatic Art from The Victorian College of the Arts.

As an actor, Julia has worked for The Melbourne Theatre Company, Darlinghurst Theatre Company, The Sydney International Arts Festival, The Hayloft Project and has appeared in numerous commercials, television and short films.
