She shifts paradigms, empowering actors to realise and activate their own talent. In her masterclasses she keeps everyone engaged and active, introducing simple, fast, innovative approaches to feed your work. Her series of tools and exercises for use in-class, at-home, in the rehearsal room and on-set get actors to where they need to be, fast.
Whether you are an auditor or an actor you will be fully engaged. Auditors will do all the homework. You will partner-up and practice all the exercises.
Actors will have the opportunity to perform their work on camera and be directed on the rehearsal floor by Miranda.
DAY ONE begins with useful, practical games, introducing Connection.
Actors learn verbatim monologues in preparation for the class. On-camera exercises and anchors introduce the worlds of Internal Landscape, Vista and Objects to develop and enrich this work. Scene-work is prepared for the following day. Actors are constantly offered fresh tools and techniques to prepare and sharpen their work.
DAY TWO we meet Space, Objects and Journey to complete the on-camera monologues and share the scenes, using deft rehearsal tools to lift the work up and empower you as you discover new aspects of your own power as an actor.
Throughout the two days Miranda refreshes with slide-shows and case-studies, keeping the work focused and relevant to your professional practice. On Sunday, there will be an additional Q&A opportunity from 5.00 pm to 6:00 pm.
