Join us in the next phase of the journey with UK theatre director and teacher Mike Alfreds’ – a Master of craft.

We are delighted that Mike will further his work on Chekhov’s The Three Sisters, in part two this August.

These are 8 x 2-hour sessions on Mike Alfreds’ renowned rehearsal process as articulated in his book, Different Every Night.

This is a course on acting technique.

Actors will concentrate on the text strand of the journey.  Working on scenes from The Three Sisters, they will deal with actions, objectives, units, beats, logic text and points of concentration.  There will be a mixture of practical text work – and physical transformation work.

Mike has been directing plays for almost 50 years.  In the 1970s he founded the renowned Shared Experience, and has since worked for all the major British theatre companies including the National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe and the Royal Shakespeare Company – as well as extensively abroad.
